Situation: There is an elderly woman living in my parents home in Chicago, IL. My parents agreed to rent her one of their spare rooms. She has been living there for about 8 months and they have given her receipts of her rent. My parents now need the room back and she was notified verbally to leave the house. She keeps finding excuses and making things up so she wont leave. Now she is claiming she has no where to go. There was no lease and no verbal time period as to how long she can stay. I am not familiar with the law or as to what action needs to be taken. My family needs her out as soon as possible because my sister will be moving in soon and this lady is not taking well care of my family's home. I know she is a senior but we are running out of options for her. Please help me!
