Ban 60% of the population from military service

Lately, the Lebanese Christians are proving to be just as hostile toward Israel as their Muslim counterparts. I feel like they are directing the blame outward for the ruin of their country by Islamic extremists rather than inward where it belongs.
 
I'm going to reply to this as if you were actually a Lebanese citizen, not knowing where you currently live.

You aren't being punished, your goverment and your suicidal neighbors are. Civilian deaths are collateral damage, which means NOT the fucking target. Yes, shit happens from time to time, but if you honestly disagreed with your goverments position (that its had for the better part of a year), you'd have left long ago.

This regional strife isn't new, if people were honestly afraid of shit like this happening they'd have left a long time ago or made an attempt to move away. Not saying that people are implicitly guilty, but how many of those supposed 300 civilian deaths were actually civilians and not people assisting Hezbollah's activities?

Not to mention the fact that you should already know that Israel takes every precaution not to kill innocents, whereas Islamic terrorists target civilians 99% of the time. You're lucky you're not in Israel.
 
You asked for my opinion and now you give me yours. I'm not going to criticize it, if you think they just got lucky or have had "better tactics" what, 7 times now that they have faced certain annihilation by all outside estimates, more power to you
 
When has Israel bombed Saudi Arabia? The Saudis fund global terror against Israel regularly, and Saudi Arabia even sent troops to attack Israel in the 1973 War. What has Israel done to them in return?

I ask you again, since you criticize their current campaign, what is your altnernative solution? Jump into the sea?
 
What is your suggested alternative? Pretend you are the Israeli PM and your country is now on the receiving end of thousands of missiles for absolutely no reason. You are facing an enemy who is not interested in compromise, peace, or diplomacy... simply your total annihilation. In order to criticize, one should have some idea of what they would do differently, no?

because all this time israel was being patient and not really doing anything while their soldiers were being captured and killed...and now that they finally had enough and are doing what needed to be done a long time ago...people are saying shit...

when i spent 10 days in israel last summer, i got to know 10 russian-jewish soldiers and some israel born soldiers..they are YOUNG kids. Ages 18 and up...i was just talking to one of the girls that has 1 year left to serve...she said she lost one of her friends in the past few days...it's really rough.

israel has been taking so much bullshit...i think it's time they show what they are capable of.
 
I've been to 40+ countries including most you likely speak of, less India.

I do not understand what your point was in doubting my experience though? I have certainly visited the Middle East.

The Lebanese government is independent and more than capable of ending this if they so desired. Why do you think Israel keeps demanding it, because they aren't aware of their capabilities? The only obstacle to ending this right now is Lebanon's desire to let Hezbollah do whatever it wants, hell they have 20 elected seats in the Lebanese Parliament.
 
Israel's victory in the 1948 Israeli War for Independence created Israel. The U.N was going to give them something like 5% of their current land and had no intentions on offering any defense from the 200 million Arabs who immediately attacked.
