Every time I try to write a book I end up stopping and then forgetting about it?

Then when I go back to it months later I don't care anymore and kind of lost my flow. It kind of sucks because I would love to actually write a full book. Does anyone else have this problem?

Also, should I plan out my book or just write as I go?

This happens to me all the time! I get great creative ideas, but every time i try to put it down on paper, it sounds too confusing, or I don't know how to get to the next part. Next time I think I'll plan first, so i have motivation to get to the next part. usually I write as I go.

Of course if I plan first, then start writing as I go, and I like it, I'll keep... writing as I go! good luck!!

There is a saying among writers..."A writer writes...always".
Sure there is writers block but that usually comes after having books published or writing for years.
I too was writing a book...and even had a publisher...they sent it back for one last editing and I never "got around to it". I wanted to be a writer...then. I guess I didn't want to be a writer bad enough. I still have it but lost interest in it. I have other hobbies now.
