Ever discovered a song from a movie that made you go WOW?

The Ecstasy of Gold by Ennio Morricone from the 'The Good, The Bad & The Ugly' soundtrack (the music that plays over the graveyard scene), and the entire soundtrack to American Beauty (in particular: "Alone", "Dead Already" and "Any Other Name"). Both scores are stunningly beautiful.

Rage Against The Machine - Wake Up (The Matrix)

Guns N' Roses - If The World (Body Of Lies)

John Murphy - In The House, In A Heartbeat (28 Days Later OST, but I heard it used in Kickass)

And in terms of original soundtracks, The Lion King and Braveheart are both beautiful.

Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead
- Life's Rich Tapestry by Modern Life
- Perfect World by Alias

Dance 'Til Dawn
- Once in a Lifetime by Cruz Sembello

Rocky IV
- No Easy Way Out by Robert Tepper

The Departed
- Shipping Up to Boston by Dropkick Murphys
- Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd
- Gimme Shelter by The Rolling Stones

Not sure about wow but songs I liked from movies:

Talk show host- Radiohead
Number one crush- Garbage
You and me song - The Wannadies
Beauty song-jia Ren Qu
She's like the wind- Patrick Swayze
Be my baby-The Ronnettes

The only one I can think of is Adagio For Strings. First heard it in Platoon and was almost sobbing at its beauty.

I also bought the theme music from Ghost In The Shell because I just love that theme.

Oh and this isn't quite what the OP asked for but I bought the Joanna Newsom EP with This Side Of The Blue on it after hearing it on an advert in a cinema,

For me it has to be 'Let my love open the door' by Pete Townsend. I had never heard of it before I watched Jersey Girl, but after hearing it, I completely fell in love with the song, and made me like the film more than I should have.

I have to say the same thing for the Juno soundtrack. The songs definitely enhanced the film and made me love the film instead of just liking it, especially because of Kimya Dawson and 'Anyone else but you' and 'Vampire'.

The classic opening of the Twilight Zone movie introduced me to Creedence Clearwater Revival. It has Dan Aykroyd and Albert Brooks singing along to The Midnight Special. Brilliant scene, great band.
