Ever been to a London Premiere?

I really want to go to the next Twilight movie 'New Moon' London Premiere but I've never been to one and I was wondering if any of you guys have and have any tips and experiences :)

I've been to two (Age Of Stupid & The Boat That Rocked) Purely because they were the only big ones happening at the time and I wanted to experience it and I also wanted to see the famous peeps up close (I'm soooo sad) But I saw a bunch of people for the Boat That Rocked one, it was surreal and awesome!

My advice would be, if you can, get there early and get yourself a good spot. If you can, go towarRAB the doors of the cinema's and hang around the barriers there, get there early and make sure you're at the front and you'll get to see, touch and get pictures taken with a lot of stars! :D

Ive been to three. First of all unless you are prepared to hang around for literally hours on end until evryone has gone in you dont know when the main stars will turn up. And if you are travelling back you may run out of time because you have a train to catch and have to allow time to get back to the train station. Anyway here's my experiences.

2003 - Kill Bill Vol 1. Was on a trip to London and came across this by accident. I saw Michael MaRABen but it was Uma thurman and tarrantino everyone was waiting for but by 8.30 no sign of them and had to get a train at 9 so never saw them.

2005 - Miss Congeniality 2. I had been a Sandra Bullock fan for 10 years so I really went to see her. this was a well organised premiere as they had an announcer saying who was arriving. Sandra turned up and went round the crowd. I had some paper ready for her autograph. She got to where I was standing and was literally a few feet in front of me. I waved the paoer but someone else got in first and she moved on! So never got the autograph.

2006 - Casino royale - Made a special trip to this. But got it completely wrong. Got there at 6.45 as premiere was at 7.30 so assumed Daniel Craig, judi Dench etc would go in at about 7. Got there and they had all gone in! Still I did dee Elton John, Sharon Osbourne and The Queen. And Jimmy Carr walked past me in HMV!

Apart from that you will find celebs will arrive and you seem to be the only one who has no idea who they are! Everyone is shouting and screamimg and you think "who the hell is this?" So you ask someone and they say "Thats Dave from Big Brother 5 " Wow! We all want to see him!

Get there as early as you can and don't let anyone nudge you out of your place - if anyone pushes you, you push them back.

I've been to a number of premieres and it's a fantastic day out - but be warned it's also a very long, very tiring day. Make sure you have access to food and drink and, if possible, something to sit on. Take warm clothing and an umbrella at whatever time of year because you're outside for hours and will possibly need to wrap up at some point.

Be prepared that you might not manage to get autographs even if you're at the front - it's totally down to luck whether the stars come over to you or not no matter how good your place is. If you're going with the desire to see a specific star try and see if you can find out beforehand whether they're going to be there because it's rare for an entire cast to attend; there are usually at least a couple missing.

Most importantly, have a good time. It's a very different kind of day out and not for everyone, but I think well worth a try if you haven't done it before. It's an interesting experience whatever happens and one thing I like about premieres is I always end up making a few new frienRAB each time.

I went to the 'Dukes of Hazzard' premiere in London 2005. I was kinda near the front, maybe about 2/3 rows away from the barrier but I got some rubbish pics of Jessica Simpson, Katie and Peter lol.

Yes i go to loaRAB ,living in London its easy to do. If you wanna do New Moon you will have to get there very early or even the night before. I did Twilight, got there mid-afternoon was very lucky to get to second row and meet Rob and Kristan but i was nearly crushed to death. Remember you will have 100's of people behind you pushing and they push for no reason.

Yep i also went to the Twilight one and i stood next to the press and Rob came to us straight away! Stood there for like 3 hours though!
But when i went to a Harry Potter one a few years back we got there too late and there were so many people but if you are prepared to push you can get reasonablly near the front! :D
Gonna go to HBP premiere in the summer and gonna camp out all day and for New Moon as well!

I've been to lots over the years and I mean inside the cinema not out in the square. I work in the industry. Best ones are usually the Royal ones with the Queen or Prince Charles in attendance as they pull out all the stops for those, including video show on the big screen of all the people arriving outside :).

I went to The Crying Game premiere - my mate got tickets to the premiere and the after show party at some club in Victoria, where Chris Lowe from the Pet Shop boys did a DJing set.
