Even Teletoon's doing Live Action.

Because a brain transplant, even partial, that DOESN'T AFFECT THE PERSONALITY AND MEMORY OF THE PERSON doesn't even make sense by CARTOON LOGIC! In Cartoon logic you trade people's brain they're going to BECOME the other person.

At least a hybrid human/something else has some ground in speculative fiction and stuff.

Its just stretching the suspenders of disbelief TOO far to the point that my disbelief pants are on the ground and the show is laughing at my underpants of logic!

Plus I just don't find it funny.

:^: Also, it makes no sense for a person to need a brain transplant after getting hit by a theme park trolley. Surgery on the body would make sense, but a brain transplant? No.

At least on Cartoon Gene the cartoon aspect is essential to the main premise, unlike on OOJH, where all too often it seemed like the cartoon characters were only there to justify the show's presence on Cartoon Network. The Appleday Gang would usually just show up, do a little shtick and then literally disappear until they were needed again. Typically the toons were no more important to the show's plots than Lizzie MacGuire's animated inner voice.

Sure, the idea that there's a parallel universe of cartoon and video game characters, and that these characters are capable of mating with humans is somewhat fanciful, but in the world of sci-fi fiction logic it's believable enough. That's no harder to swallow than Jimmy having a green alien for an adopted sister due to his mom being an astronaut. (That latter premise is actually more plausible than the brain transplant thing.)

It would probably make a better center premise for a show too.

Plus... adopted sister... I bet she's really his HALF sister if you know what I mean :p gets lonely up there, new stranger in town wink wink nudge nudge and all that sort of thing :p
