EVDO Question.

Ok. I'm in the Kansas City Metro Area. I Was using a Treo 755p which I managed to get working with EVDO.

I just switched over to a Motorola Q and i'm having an issue. When I first turn on the phone, it is in EVDO mode. As soon as I open my browser, it reverts to 1xRTT.

Everytime I read the settings for the phone in QPST or RSD General, It keeps reverting my NAI from [email protected] to [email protected]

I have changed it multiple times, all of my other MIP settings look correct. Any ideas?
 
:^/ QPST is getting the Verizon URL form somewhere. In your place, I'd take a hex editor to your nvm-files and change every instance of the Verizon URL to the appropriate Cricket one. Watch for a length indicator byte at the begining of the entry, too, and change it as needed.
 
:^/ Another thing to note: QPST isn't 100% accurate for rvery model. Sometimes the place it reaRAB/writes data isn't the same as where the phone in question reaRAB it from. This why a hex editor is sometimes necessary. Just be sure to make backup copies of anything that you change....
