EVDO on a V3M?

I've got a Verizon V3M that I flashed to the Alltel Monster and setup for Cricket,just as the tutorial says.
I tried to to flash the 1050 prl, but it doesn't seem to work. Are there more edits needed to get the high speed data connection?
I was wondering if it was like the Moto Q HDR edits, or something similar.

If i flash a v3m to cricket with all of crickets software will the mp3 still work? Or will flashing it do a way with the mp3 player?
