EVDO and Roaming.. Mutually exclusive?

We just launched evdo here in cincinnati (along with many other markets I'm sure) and I wondred if I use the evdo prl on my dare, can I still do roaming? I guess the prl on the aircarRAB does not require roaming capabilities, so is there a prl that will allow you to do both? I understand that evdo will not work while roaming, but I need evdo on my phone in while in the city and then roamig when I leave.. any thoughts? Is this possible with prl's in other markets?

I downloaded 1012 in san diego this week and it BETTER have roaming since I need it also. I loaded NAM2 on my Dare with 5244 which is my 1x roaming PRL just in case. I haven't been out of town yet to test.

ive been told that some newly launched markets do not have an evdo prl with roaming yet. they are working to correct this issue

I have a vx6700 flashed to cricket ,I just left my calling area san diego and now my roaming won't work ..my phone won't even connect..what should I do?

since cricket has screwed up evdo markets you have to manually do it, depending on your phone. 5244 is the ca/az roaming PRL.

sorry to keep asking ?'s but how do you manually update the prl... I have a verizon vx6700

To manually update the PRL while on the road, I guess it would be the same way as a 6800.. Just put the PRL you want on a memory card and insert it into the phone. dial ##778 the select edit. at the bottom, click view info and then select prl from the list and then select update prl.

This should be close, I don't have one with me to verify this..
