Evangelion 1.0 Dub Cast announced (and Sgt. Frog coming soon)

Well, I just got back from the Dub at a release in Seattle.

It was pretty good acting for me on all parts. I have to admit, I am more used to the subs, but went with a friend who prefers dubs. He seemed to think they did a nice job on it.

(I sooooo wanted this poster)

Very cool to see it with some fellow fans. For a small theater we packed it out fairly nice. It was fun to see it on a larger screen than my monitor, and better than my busted speakers as well.

I might I am a bit nutz on some shows. But I gree with a few of you about the odd releases.

Just wanted to say I went to the FUNImation Sneak Peek and was happy to see that they showed a clip of the final "Sgt. Frog" dub. Fans have nothing to worry about; not only is this more faithful to the Japanese version (I saw the episode said clip was from and it pretty much followed the same story verbatim), it's also funnier. The full premiere will be at Otakon.

Expect something more along the lines of a "Bobobo"-style dub rathrer than a "Shin-Chan/Samurai Pizza Cats" dub.

I dunno, they don't usually keep unique laughs like that; it's been one of the few letdowns for One Piece fans...

Anyway, I loved Bobobo's dubbing style, and if this is anything like that, I'm all for it!

Kululu wasn't in the clip, it was just Keroro, Tamama, and Giroro, and a little bit of Fuyuki.

But the clip seemed to indicate that he'll keep his laugh, they do indeed do the whole "resonating" thing just as they do in the Japanese version.

I wish I could go to Otakon this year, because from what I've read on the FUNimation twitter they're gonna be promoting "Sgt. Frog" a lot there, which explains the premiere. Adam Sheehan said this has been a very fun show to work on, and the audience seemed to think so too.

Well it could have beaten Seattle by like hours. We opened at 7pm . So I bet AX had it first.
Here is where I saw it. http://www.grandillusioncinema.org/ Anyone in Seattle will have only a week to see it here. =)

They're not playing the movie in New York? The movie listings on FUNi's website showed just the west coast and parts of Canada through Septeraber.
