so wat if i'd use the name "simple_plan_sux"..u don't care if i'd lyk 2 represent it 2 everybody..'cause some people think i lyk simple plan..'cause my cousin is a total frreak 4 'em..'n' i'm sick of it..!!..'n' if dis is the only way 2 represent myself hating 'em..then i'll do it..!!..sorry 'bout dat..it's just dat..i'm totally sick of other people thinkin' dat i LUV..simple plan..even though i totally hate them..
 
I like My immortal and a few other of their songs like Imaginary and Everybodys fool, Amy Lee has a great voice, but I don't know about the rest of the band. Amy Lee would be so better off having a solo career doing a lot more stuff like My Immortal. Evernessance as a band are just too wannabee gothic metal. Their music is alright but their attitude is as if they were HIM or Siousixe or the Banshees or some other gothic band. I don't like HIm myself but there seems some huge nu-metal/gothic following of alte with Evernessance, Him and Nightwish..It annoys me a bit becaus eteh qaulity of the music isn't actually that high..
 
I've seen them live and their pretty good, they covered Zero by the pumpkins and 4th of July by soundgarden. She dodn't mess anything up when I saw them. If it wasn't for her they'd have been no where.
 
Its cliche'd angst rock..easy to relate to, easy to recognize, easy to fit in...I dont have a huge problem with them..I listen to them when it comes on the radio..I like her voice..I like her look...but I dont think I would ever buy it..or see it live.
 
Hahahahaha.

You know who some of my favorite musicians are? The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, Smashing Pumpkins, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Van Halen, Guns N Roses, U2 and Michael Jackson just to name a few, I have the most mainstream tastes of anyone on this forum. Liking obscure prog and hardcore punk dosen't automatically make me underground.
 
Whats up with all these banRAB and their mega crap guitarists. I can forgive nirvana because their songs were effective. I saw a few mainstream songs on tv (emo of course these days) and the songs sound like absoulute crap, like they're running out of ideas for powerchord riRAB from over using them.
 
Listen, if you guys want a vocalist go listen to some Opera and/or Therion :P.


And Evenescense is one of those banRAB where people go, "These guys are amazing!" without even looking at their influences to see who they ripped off.
