Eureka 7 movie planned - Retelling of story (Now with Trailer!)

I know this has been done to death, but than again everything has been done to death.

How about Renton and Eureka return, but they have no memories of their lives before the second summer of love. They don't remeraber anyone or anything from their past. They just know each other. And that could be the retelling, trying to jog their memories back.

I think that would a good story, it would really force the other characters to open up and say how they feel about Renton and Eureka, and how they feel about their accomplishment. As long as you keep from becoming a glorified clip show.

I want a giant poster of that art for my wall. It's frelling awesome.

and I actually like the title of Pocket full of rainbows

I wonder how much of this is going to be a straight re-telling/re-animation and how much is going to be changed? Is it just going to be like the Rah-xephon movie?

Although ultimately the movie cleared up some things I was wrong about the ending from the show for me.

Normally I don't like using that terminology, but...yeah.

I...will not be watching anything with a title like that.

Yeah. I wonder too. I'm sure it'll just be a retelling of the series with some reanimation and what not. That's not a bad thing either.

I know you are talking about Rah-xephon's ending, but I wonder how this E7 movie will cover the ending? I got the ending pretty clearly. Eureka and Renton basically live happily ever after. The thing I'm not 100% sure on is when you see them at the end, are they just seeing how the family is doing? Or are they coming back to stay? That's what I'm not sure about.

The title isn't really that bad. I think it's a kneejerk reaction to react that way and call it "gay." >.> I totally do want that page's art in a background type format, or just the picture in general. It's too cool.

...And adorable. I love Eureka Seven. It's one of my favorite anime series I'm currently buying the DVRAB of. I can't wait to see what this movie is like, what characters are in it, news on its dub, etc. I'm surprised this is getting so little talkback. This is big news. Post some replies, people!

Yeah, though it isn't coming out over here for like a year so that's probably the reason.

And honestly, is the movie title any weirder than any of the actual TV episode titles? "Paper Moon Sky", "Acperience" and "Substance Abuse" comes to mind. (yes "Substance Abuse" was the name of an episode.)

I just remerabered that quite a few anime series are getting "recap/revival" movies.
-Eureka Seven
-Gurren Lagann
-Nanoha
-Evangelion

Must be a new fad over there.

True. Has Bandai said anything about licensing it?

Wasn't every episode title a song title? Is the movie title a song title, too?

I actually prefer these kinRAB of movies for the most part. We get to see new material from anime we loved without it saying "that wasn't really the ending. There's more after!"

That explains why it's so weird. They could choose normal song titles, but that wouldn't be as unique as choosing the weird ones. I wonder how they choose them, though.

Okay, so I need to go to Shinjuku some time after April... lol.

Not sure how they decided the movie title, but I read an interview with Dai Sato, and he basically said that the episode titles were chosen to highlight the theme of hip, underground pop culture in the show. As a result, most of the songs chosen belong to the lesser-known techno genre.

You didn't like E7 to begin with anyway.

Elvis, huh? I wonder if the music will be altered slightly because of them using old 50's music rather than modern electronica as the musical theme.

He's talking about Shikabane Hime. You know, the one that's on Youtube for Free because FUNimation is awesome like that!?

I hope if this gets brought over here, that the same english cast stays. I don't think I can see anyone else as Renton or Eureka.
