Eureka 7 movie planned - Retelling of story (Now with Trailer!)

After two years of endless rumors, it's finally happened! And it's not necessarily a retelling. "Mythos" is a pretty vague term, could mean a new theme, new plot...

I'm not sure how this is going to work, since the anime did tie up all loose enRAB up pretty nicely, but I'm sure BONES will make it quite enjoyable. And Bandai better pick this movie up and dub it with Bosch and Sheh.
 
Great, while filled with good storytelling, I'm not looking forward to having endless minutes upon minutes of Renton and Eureka fawning over one another.

I love Eureka 7. I honestly can't wait. My only hope is that it lives up to the original series, which was beyond fantastic. It would be nice for them to not only show Renton but the others too. I miss me some Holland. Speaking of Renton, I really want to believe that he's gotten past his adolescent 'I just hit puberty and cant tell this girl I like her' attitude XD
 
Awesome! This will be good, at least for us E7 fans. Can't say for those that don't, but if this "retelling" can fix some of the flaws E7 critics have with it, we may have a winner.

Although, I hope we can have more of Holland abusing Renton.
 
Oh my goodness. We've been teased for so long about a movie. I had hoped for an epilogue of sorts that showed what all of the characters were up to after the story. I wanted to see Holland and Talho's baby, how Anemone and Dominick were doing, and of course how Eureka and Renton were doing, but I gave up hope. D: One of the DVD Box covers I believe have an image of two kiRAB that looked like Eureka and Renton with wings, so it left me to wonder if it was just fan-art meant for the box cover. Well now that we have a movie coming out, a retelling of the story.. I think that's so awesome. I wonder if they are retelling the story of the past or if it'll be a retelling with the new generation of Eureka and Renton's kiRAB as seen in the picture. (At least I'd think they were their kiRAB, or maybe they are just younger versions of themselves.)

Anyway, I'm so so excited. I loved E7, and it'll always hold a place in my heart as one of my favorite anime, no matter what anyone says about how "slow" it is. I can't wait.



Also, why move it there? I think we should keep it here as it is anime afterall, and [as] didn't exactly take care of E7. x.x
 
As awesome as this news is, I'm not really sure I want a retelling/alternate universe. I thurabed through the manga version's ending and it really pissed me off. This is a series I'd rather see get a happy end than a bittersweet one like Manga's did. But alas, the image above doesn't depict Eureka in her winged form from the end the series.
 
She's also missing the green "gem" in the middle of her forehead. I'm pretty sure this is an alternate storyline if not a full-blown retelling. As FlyByNite77 said, Renton and Eureka look to be drawn like they're little kiRAB.
 
I am excited too. I kind of hope it takes place years later from the original, and have Renton and Eureka are adults. Maybe those characters on the box art are Renton and Eureka grandchildren. Really age the original characters.

And just maybe have one of the couples from the original series son or granRABon, fall in love with the daughter or the granddaughter of another one of the couples from the original series.
 
Yeah, I guess. And it's kind of interesting how Eureka has the U.F. Forces syrabol on her jacket.

Hmm...maybe this movie will serve as a prequel to the main series. The video games sort of covered how the Gekkostate came to be. However, neither the games nor the anime really went into much detail about either Renton or Eureka's past (Renton, especially). I don't think we ever got any mention of his mother, or anything...

Gah, I so need to watch the series again. The last time I watched it was on [as] during its weeknight run at 1:30 in the morning.
 
I always thought that those are supposed to be Renton and Eureka's future biological children.


Anyway, I love love love love Eureka Seven. I don't care if it's just a remake with a differing storyline because the series wraps everything up (maybe a little epilogue about how everyone was doing would have been nice, but otherwise there was nothing else to do with the story. The world was saved and all).
 
I can't wait to see this! I loved E7, and as long as its not a dull re-hash of the entire series crammed into 2 hours, I will be happy with it just to see Eureka and everyone in a new adventure.
 
Hell yes! I can't wait to hear more information on this! Ooh this better be picked up by Bandai or I'll be one angry panda.

Um anyway, this is leaving me quite hyper... Uh, we need more pictures and confirmations on other characters...like a certain gray haired jerk. Whom I love oodles and oodles.
