errrr help i dont get rap music...at all?

i like most forms of music,
metal
thrash
alternative
hard rock
soft rock
classical
jazz
but mostly metal and i try to keep an open mind but i seriously dont get rap music.
i am not saying its bad i just dont get how they even call it music. i mean its liek music stripped down, no riffs, and it only has a few instruments etc, then some guy comes on chanting words really fast. its like he is not singing but talking fast and not even trying to make the words try to flow. again i am not sayign it sucks i am tryign to keep an open mind but am i missing something. i just dont get it, help?

I really think that you need right music promoters... i think you should consult musiciansatlas to solve your problem.
