First I'd like to thank adortab for the fix. Worked perfectly for me. Thanks for your hard work and sharing it with the community.
Second there has been alot of talk about getting other internet applications working on the Treo with Cricket such as Versamail, Google maps, etc. In my experience any internet enabled application that supports a proxy will work with Crickets WAP service. Since all traffic neeRAB to pass through Cricket's proxy, the application will need to support a place to put in Cricket's proxy information.
Therefore Google maps will not work until Google includes proxy support within the application. I have Versamail setup and working fine however I use an Exchange Active Sync account with Versamail to synchronize my corporate mail. AES accounts have the ability to enter proxy information since they are accessing the corporate server via secure ssh on port 443. I do not thing that any other types of accounts in Versamail such as POP/IMAP support a proxy therefore it won't work.
There are other after-market applications that do support a proxy that should work just fine with Cricket's internet service as long as Cricket's proxy information is entered correctly in the application. I wish there was some sort of system-wide setting on the Treo to forward all internet traffic to Cricket's proxy. This would then allow any internet enabled application to work correctly but I just have not found such an application.
Thanks;
Mark
