Error: Requested content '...' cannot be accessed. Error while connecting"

yeah opera is a no go..even with ibm java installed youl still get a timeout.. xiino does load some sites extremeley slow and in an awkward display but hey what else do we got.. some one will evntually isolate the issue were haven... i would love to at least know the reason why wblazer pretty much died on us :crying:

i just installed opera and everytime it keeps saying cannot connect to the internet. even though it connects...any ideas how to get it to connect?

the code starts with either of: ## or #*# and enRAB with # or Talk...that leaves you 4 possibilities...let us know what you're workin with (speeRAB).

if they acknowledged its their falt did they tell you what they did? also do you mean compensate like in a refund for your 5$ web or that they are going to try and resolve the issue

They just said they were having a problem with there proxy. As far as a refund I'm sure they mean for time without service, but just more proof they know of the problem.

I have a 700p also and it started acting up yesterday giving me the same error. I did a soft reset and it worked fine after that until a couple hours ago when it started acting up again and I tried the soft reset again but still it gives me the error message. Now I cant get on any site, not even the cricket homepage.

Whats the end result I am going to love, my service back that i pay for:confused: Was it a network problem or ???? confused with you posting 2 different reports. Fill us in nTranced with your "trust me on this one".

Getting the same error message. I was going to post and see if anyone else was having the same problem. I called cricket and they told me to do the *228 thing and it still didn't work. Only getting yahoo and espn.

Does anyone have an idea of when and how this problem can be fixed? Does it have anything to do with the 700P being flashed?

Nothing yet for me, and now they tell me the problem is fixed. I asked if they are doing something new (possibly to kill pda access), they tell me nothing new. But they're acting suspicious.

First I'd like to thank adortab for the fix. Worked perfectly for me. Thanks for your hard work and sharing it with the community.

Second there has been alot of talk about getting other internet applications working on the Treo with Cricket such as Versamail, Google maps, etc. In my experience any internet enabled application that supports a proxy will work with Crickets WAP service. Since all traffic neeRAB to pass through Cricket's proxy, the application will need to support a place to put in Cricket's proxy information.

Therefore Google maps will not work until Google includes proxy support within the application. I have Versamail setup and working fine however I use an Exchange Active Sync account with Versamail to synchronize my corporate mail. AES accounts have the ability to enter proxy information since they are accessing the corporate server via secure ssh on port 443. I do not thing that any other types of accounts in Versamail such as POP/IMAP support a proxy therefore it won't work.

There are other after-market applications that do support a proxy that should work just fine with Cricket's internet service as long as Cricket's proxy information is entered correctly in the application. I wish there was some sort of system-wide setting on the Treo to forward all internet traffic to Cricket's proxy. This would then allow any internet enabled application to work correctly but I just have not found such an application.

Thanks;
Mark

unfoRtunateley it still says auth an /ann failed so i guess all i succeeded in doing was getting the evdo icon to appear..what a drag, the only thing the evdo prl i have does is give me the evdo icon and thats it... :erabaresse

i am in houston and have that same thing going on...it's because you are not in a cricket evdo area, but you are picking up another carrier's evdo signal...when you make a call or go online, the evdo icon will switch to 1x b/c your phone is forced back to a cricket tower...we will know when we are in an evdo area b/c it will authenticate.
