Error 1401 loading Tungsten T software on desktop

When attempting to load my Tungsten T software on my desktop with XP Pro OS, I get the Message: Error 1401. Could not create key S-1-5-21-823518204-1979792683-725345543-1003\Software\Microsoft. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel. I'm stuck... Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. :confused:
 
go to the registry editor, click on the main key that you are getting the error on (the s-1-5-whatever). click on the edit menu, then permissions, then go to your user name, click full control (access), then, click advanced, click apply to all subkeys (or something to that effect) and voila! reboot and continue installing.

i had the exact same problem, i thought it had something to do with being in new mexico.
