I am debating between the Ericsson w600i and s710a.
I like the size and look of the w600i but I like the expandable memory feature in the s710a better so I?m leaning towards a s710a. I know the s710a is an older model but how much of an upgrade is the w600 from it performance wise? And is the difference worth the extra money.

s710a can only take 128mb cards, so the most mem your s710 will have is 128 + on board. Of course 128mb of mem is cheap so you can get multple sticks for mp3s, programs, etc.

The s710a has a better camera than the w600i, more stable OS (been out longer, so there).

The w600i has a better keypad, faster UI, and is smaller. It's a pretty even heat and the memory should only be a determining factor if you put a lot of MP3s on the phone. 128 should be fine for java and themes.

I personally went with the w600 because I loose things and din't want to carry extra sticks of mem around for me to loose.

S710 has a much better screen, much better camera, much better look and much better Keypad (I don't know what that last guy was talking about with the W600 having a better keypad)

W600 has FM radio, better MP3 player, changable facpelates, and is cheaper (on Rogers).

what I was talkign about, was that the s710a keypad is flush to recessed with the body of the phone, making it tough to do heavy texting (other have complained of too)

the buttons on the w600 are more responsive allowing you to text faster (in my opinion). Of course this is all opinion, so you might be used to the s710a keypad, I know I couldn't get used to it.
