I've just installed the eReader that comes with the TX CD. I can read the ebooks in Palm's Ram buy I can't find how to read the ebooks in my card. Is this possible with this software? DO I need to upgrade to eReader Pro to get this capability? I did not see any reference to reading from the SD Card on the eReader Pro web site.

I do not know much about eReader, as I have not used the program. I have been using iSilo and Plucker for reading ebooks. Both of these programs allow ebooks to be read off of SD cards.

I don't know if this is true for eReader or not, but most programs require special folders to be created on the memory card for storing the associated data files. For example, Plucker requires ebooks to be stored in palm/programs/plucker folder and iSilo uses palm/programs/isilo. Some programs will also allow you to put documents in palm/launcher.

You need to find out if eReader has such a requirement. If you want a free reader with hyperlink support, Plucker is an excellent choice. You can create your own ebooks from HTML files using JPluck or Sunrise. iSilo is a commercial reader. But is very user friendly and converts graphics better than other reader programs. External document linking is also possible when creating your own ebooks using iSiloX.

Right on! Moved a document to the Launch subdirectory and eReader saw it!

Regarding Plucker. Have you found it to be stable on the TX? I've found TextPlus and other applications causing resets and freezes and I'm being extra carefull as of what I load on it.

Thanks for the hint on eReader.

I'm glad eReader is working for you. I do not have a TX, so I haven't tried running Plucker on it. However, it runs smoothly on my T3, which is somewhat similar to the TX, in terms of screen resolution. Plucker supports the full screen landscape mode.

Season's Greetings!
