Equality sculpture...?

My sculpture class was assigned a project about the "Power of Equality". I want to do something that's not cliche such as a scale or something like that. What are somethings that I could incorporate in my sculpture that would make it thought provoking and interesting? Any materials that I could use?
 
you could make a human figure which is made up e.g. half male half female or you could even make 4 parts if you include different races. The clearly different parts would come together to make one full and nice human...
You could also make something more abstract where all the pieces make together one whole (the simplest think would be a circle). The pieces should be all different, but all those different shapes and/or colors would be needed to make the complete final form.
