Episode 4.01 (10/15/09) - Season Four

I agree that they usually start off kind of weak. I loved this episode, but I think after I get a little distance from it, I'm going to realize that I loved it mostly because it was a new 30 Rock episode, not because it was particularly fantastic. I find that a lot of shows are slow coming out of the gates, but I'm sure 30 Rock will pick up soon enough.
 
Yeah I agree, Do Over wasn't the best episode considering what followed right after that. I did like "Season 4" though especially Kenneth's storyline. :D
 
I usually find the season premieres a little weak on 30 Rock. Like I thought "Do Over" (the third season premiere) was one of the weakest eps ever.
 
I thought this eppy was good but after rewatchning the season 1-3 last month Im used to even better episodes. It had some really funny scenes but it didn´t work as a whole for me for some reason. I liked all the things you mentioned but I found it strange that they would start with a strike, I didn´t like that storyline, even though Jack´s paycheck was soo funny.

I´m happy the show is back on tv.
 
The scary thing is, I can see Tracy as a foodie. :lol:

I love how the title of this episode is "Season Four". I kept running into it and thinking "what's the title of premiere?" I finally realized that it was the title when I watched the ep.
 
That was so funny! I thought it was just funny that they advertised the restaurant as an "Asian fusion" restaurant, and then they're eating these Cheesy Blasters things with chopsticks. :lol: And then Tracy: "I'm a foodie. I can't eat this."
 
I got up earlier to watch the episode before work.

I loved the scene when Kenneth opened Jack's paycheck. :lol: Poor him, and now we know Jack's middle name: Francis. I would have never thought he would lead a strike. :D

Tracy being out in the city was priceless. "You look normal, can I guess your name?"

I also found it funny that it needed the entire writer staff to pull the table over and they didn't even make it, when Liz could do that easily when someone ate her sandwich lol.

I'll give you a NY minute, which's seven seconds.
What sport is NBC having these day? Oh, off season tennis.

LOVED the Kenneth/Jack showdown. Jack's foldout bonus cheque was PRICELESS! And "I think Kenneth got whatever kind of religious undergarments he wears into a twist." :lmao:

Oh, poor Josh! Just as I was thinking, where IS Josh, he was sitting right there. I hope they're not getting rid of him. I like Josh.

:lmao: Tracy trying to get back to his roots. I loved him scaring people on the streets. And asking that guy about knowing Moby! :lmao:

:love: All scenes with Grizz and Dot Com! And them pointing to the elevator that Tracy isn't afraid of. :lol:

I also nearly died when they brought out the "Cheesy Blasters" and Liz knew what they were. Then she proceeded to sing the song for them and it was so funny because I swear you could see Jack almost dancing along. :lol:

I wonder if that is the end of Josh. I mean, they haven't been using him as much, so I could see them using that as an excuse to get rid of him, but I really hope they don't.

Jack welcoming us to "Season 4" was hilarious. As well as the end leading people to Jay Leno.

I loved Jenna's tennis song.

And Tracy trying to get in touch with his roots. I forgot how much I missed Grizz and Dot Com.

Poor Josh. Hopefully, we'll see more of him this season.

And I loved that they continued with the Pete/Liz relationship. I hope they don't drop it.

And the page strike, too funny. :lol:

And I loved Liz pointing out that all of America is "real" America. :D
 
Oh my goodness, SUCH a good episode!! :lol: I was cracking up at so many different parts. The beginning with Jack was so brilliant: "Good evening. I'm so glad to see you all here and welcome to season four."

Then the Kenneth/Jack showdown just reminded so much of "Blind Date." I'm thinking Jack might have been right to fear Kenneth. :lol: And then Kenneth's Jack impression! :lmao:

I loved everything else that other people have said. I can't wait for next week!! Our show is back!!! :yay:

I loved silly things like the lead in and out of the eppy - Season 4, which is the name of this restaurant!!!
