How many injections can be taken by a single patient.

Most physicians say you can have a cycle of 3 shots twice a year. So often the plan is 3 shots, each 2 weeks apart. Often that can be repeated 6 months later.

Epidural injections will last at least 3 months..You can have Epidural injections at least 3/4 times a year.

As an addition - you may have epidural injections at multiple sites. The limitations are based on one site. For example you can do them in cervical, thoracic and lurabar -various levels. In one certain level/site the recommended amount is up to 3 injections every 6 months. I get rotating injections in my cervical, thoracic and lurabar. Each quarter we go to a new site.

For example I just finished a series of 6 injections - 3 on my right L5/S1 and 3 on my left L5/S1. I do my cervical next quarter.
