I am really stuck on this question and I'm not sure where to start. Can anybody help me?
A stream contains 20ppm by mass of an organic material which can be represented by C6H12O6.
a) Calculate the mass of organic matter that is dissolved in 1 dm3 of the water.
b) Deduce the mass of oxygen needed to oxidise this organic matter.
c) Explain the presence of reduced products such as methane in the water.
