Environmental challenges/global climate change? 10 Points!!!?

My government assignment is describe a problem and identify a proposal for your candidate's plan for the issue.
Environmental challenges/global climate change.

Here's what I've wrote so far, what should I add?
The problem is pollution is destroying the earth. The solution is by developing and doing more research on clean energy resources. Implementing clean energy programs—hybrid cars. More regulations on the countries who are the main offenders.
 
Well, for a well balanced paper that describes a problem maybe pick a more specific issue instead of just covering pollution in general. As far as identifying a problem, perhaps research both sides to whatever issue you choose that way you come up with a thoroughly researched and educated paper. For example, if you choose CO2 and Global warming, then research and present the side which states that global warming is not man-made, even if in your paper you defuse that controversial statement and make the claim that climate change is man-caused... To state an example. See what I'm saying? Research a variety of opinions to impress you're teacher that way he knows that you took many expert opinions into account when choosing your proposal. Hope I helped.
