So, I had been feeling sick since yesterday. I was nauseated, felt really tired, was coughing and sneezing (dry cough/sneeze) and every time I did so, it felt like my lungs were on fire. I decided this morning to call in to work so I could go to the doctor.

I get to the doctor, had about a five minute wait after all my paperwork was done, and then talked to the nurse, told her my symptoms, etc. She took my temperature (99.2, which is high for me) and took some blood, then told me it was probably going to be a while considering the clinic was packed that day. I said okay, and promptly fell asleep.

I'm not sure how long I was asleep, but the doctor came in, and did his routine doctor thing (check the ears/throat/nose, listened to heartbeat and breathing function) and then he told me what was going on.

You have the swine flu. It's just like the regular flu except it's new to human systems. You're good as long as you don't have any other underlying medical problems. He gave me three sheets of information on H1N1, and then had one of the nurses come in to give me a prescription for Tamiflu (which is fucking expensive) and my discharge sheet.

So fucking lovely.

I've got the pig flu.

Fuck You Swine Flu

I hope you feel better soon :hug2: I know some people who have had it, it's not that bad. I mean, ofcourse it's bad it's a flu, but not as the media has portrayed it..but I think you already know that.

Nobody seems to consider me: I'm not taking any precautions and I've yet to contract the H1N1. Superhuman immune system for the win.

EDIT: Actually, I think I had it last week, but something that mild doesn't send me to the doctor. Mostly the same symptoms plus a killer case of the mudd-butt also known to accompany H1N1.
