Enter button wont send message in a chat room?

I dont know quite what is causing this, it has worked before for me on this site and only lately has it happened but only seems to happen on this one chat site, but whenever i press enter to send the message all it does is go down by 1 line, and it wont send the message, I have also tried also holding ctrl & pressing enter but this still doesn't help me and it just goes onto a seperate line underneath.

Are there some settings I need to change?

This happens to me too from time to time, on msn. The only thing that works for me is backspacing over what I've typed and retying the whole lot. Then it usually works. I think this is due to the inherent instability of the application - these programs are big and complex, really patched up, so they tend to have these glitches. I don't think there's much you can do to stop this, but if it gets really bad, try reinstalling it.
