You know what really grinds my gears? Coca Cola's over zealous marketing campaign. Everyone knows Coke tastes good. I drink gallons of the shit every year. I'm certain hat everyone on the fucking planet who enjoys soda beverages is very well aquinted with the product. You would have to leave the industrialized world to be deprived of it, and I'm sure much of the Third World has access to it. My point is, the whole godamn world knows about it, but they insist on advertising it as though Coke is a brand new invention.
If you've been living in another galaxy your whole life and started watching TV today, you might guess that Coke was trying to compete with Microsoft, Ford or Anheiser Butsch. WTF?!?! It's not like they have competitors. They won the cola wars against Pepsi decades ago, because nobody else makes the same product (Pepsi is just flat, diet Coke that didn't pass the QA testing). So by default, as long as people want cola drinks, Coke has a monopoly. So why the hell do they bombard the airwaves and plaster walls, clothes and billboards with their ads? Are they trying to protect their turf from impending entry of Google into the soda market? Coca Cola ads are the perfect example superfluous bullshit.
