Hello, I was curious about allowances for joining a branch of the Military (specifically, the Army) after having been in the DEP for another branch (specifically, the Navy). I had went to MEPS, was assigned a Naval rating, and put into the DEP.
I realize that I cannot re-enlist in the Navy without proper re authorization, but what about other branches? Having said all of that, I won't go into details unless required (or when asked for). I feel it's non-essential to disclose details at this time, (unless to the recruiter of my new branch of choice) as I was once in the DEP and chose to withdraw; what's done is done
I am very interested in pursuing a military career, as I know the countless benefits that it entails, and I also know that the Military can be, and is, a great way to completely change one's life.
I am really just curious as to if there is any way I would be able to enlist without many problems if I had left the DEP of another branch. Thank you.
