Enhanced find

Find/Ignore hack worked beautifully to fix most of the shortcomings in the Palm find function. Unfortunately, it doesn't work with OS 5 although it might if you use Teal Hack (I think it's called). Paul, help me out here.:)

Available from Florent Pillet/Wanadoo. MOST CERTAINLY OS5 compliant. Here's the link:

Formerly a 32k hack and now a full fledged OS5 application, this is
absolutely the single best search program you can have - capable of boolean searches, Wildcards, and BEST OF ALL "database" choosing; for example you can have a "category" for just CONTACTS. Or just AGENDUS. I have those plus "Full," -- which only searches 9 programs!

Most people don't realize that a "global find" searches things like Calculator, HotSync, etc. -- FindHack lets you eliminate those, just concentrating on ones you WANT searched. Remember to "check" those after adding new programs, because they default to "search this one, too."

Also has "memory" for last "how many" searches you did and for what, and that is fully configurable too. I especially like the "category" searching though . . . I leave mine on "Contacts" most of the time. On "full," results take less than TWO SECONDS!

I can't recommend it enough. OS5 compliant -- in fact not only MORE stable than the Palm Search, it FOUND the Docs2Go glitch when they had their "WordToGo" Global find crashes. Amazing application - and a gift at $14.95. Besides, Florent Pillet is a CLASS ACT. Wish to God he made handhelds.

I've been using Find Hack for a few months now and couldn't imagine my PDA without it.

I leave mine set to search "Built-in Applications" only so the search results are practically instant.

Highly recommended, A+++++++++

I even include most of the relevant non-builtin programs and it is still almost instantaneous, plus I can look into even abstruse applications for the information I am looking for. Why, because I can.
