My step father has told me that it IS the english law that an 18 year old has to move out of the house once he i 18. Now the house belongs to both him and my mum. My mum says I can remain here and my step dad wants me out because we don't see eye to eye. I'd like to know whether what he said was true and if you could show an extract of the law which says that so.

He is wrong.

No law in UK says that.

an 18 year old can leave IF HE WANTS TO and parents can not stop him.
Law does not say he HAS TO

My cousin still lives with his parents, he's 28....

That is not a law, 18 is the age that you're legally considered an adult, you can vote and buy cigarettes that's basically it. He can kick you out of his house because you're legally considered an adult, he can charge you rent (if he does I would require a lease agreement) this is as long as he doesn't want to cause waves with your mom

Are you kidding me?? If that law was true, half of the country would be homeless!

Tell him to stick it...
