English 2 Summer Reading List?

I don't really know any of these. Which of these books do you recommend? Or not recommend? What are they about? Thanks for the help, I need to read two of these and take a test on them after summer's over. My dad said I should read The Water is Wide.

2.A Gathering of Old Men
3.All Creatures Great and Small
4.Rebecca
5.The Once and Future King
6.Things Fall Apart
7.The Water is Wide
8.I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
9.Cold Sassy Tree
10.Return of the King
 
The Once and Future King is great, as is Rebecca.
TOFK is about King Arthur, and Rebecca is amazing, but I cannot for the life of me remember what it's about (I read it a really long time ago)
