...advantage of the situation?
I pay enough to watch TV i no one should have to pay anymore to watch your own country play a football match!

It's an absolute scandal. It seems The FA have no rights over the screening of England away matches, and it is going to be screened on pay per view internet Tv at £4.00 to see it.

As far as I can see it's part of a scheme whereby the internet stations are flexing their muscles waiting to take all the footy off of terrestrial TV. Why do we pay a licence fee nowadays anyway?

I can see the time when we'll be forced to pay prices according to where we sit. £10 for bang in front of the screen, £2.50 for a side on view partially obscured by the bookcase! .

Have a look on bbc sport its all covered there. What has the sun got to do with it? Its probably in there interest to promote it as has the mail and telegraph. I think it is a total disgrace as the internet platform will top at 1 million viewers to retain stream quality. Who really enjoys watching 90 minutes sat in an uncomfortable chair staring one foot away from an average screen of about 19" , I know i couldn't. Even Rio Ferdinand is backing it!!

It would appear that most of the English newspapers have an offer on watching this online. Not that I condone this - it is despicable that we should have to pay to watch our national team play our national game. I wouldn't subscribe to Setanta cos of this and now find that we have to pay. What next ... pay to watch Wimbledon, Grand National.

What about those people who don't have computers (and there are a lot of people in this situation).

I know that there is a lot of red tape about showing these games but surely BBC, Sky or ITV could have done something. I know I won't be watching - why watch a match on a 14 inch screen when I can be watching the Republic on my 42in plasma TV!!!!

The Ukraine FA had a deal with setanta that obviously fell through when setanta went bust so they are now showing the game online charging a £4 subscription to watch.

How are the sun taking advantage?

Setanta had the contract to show Ukraine home internationals but they collapsed and none of the other TV channels (Sky,BBC,ITV etc) bid to show the game. its quite a mess.
