it is taking in way to much fuel. when i am driving and i press on the gas there will be a bunch of black smoke come out the exhaust and when we start it and don't let it run for a couple minutes if i press on the gas it will chug or cough like it is missing a cylinder but i don't think it is because it is fine after a while

check the throttle position sensor on it,this helps to govern the amount of fuel the engine gets and when they start to go bad it will cause that too happen, having the computer scanned may help you in finding out whats causing that too happen, good luck.
