Engine Swapping for a '92 Toyota Paseo?

The Paseo has a stock 5EFE engine on it. Its an automatic and its a FWD. I'm curious what engine swap would be the best for it? And would a KA24DE fit? I know this engine is mostly found on 240sx, which is a RWD car, but I know Altimas, which are FWD, carried them as well.
 
Its a .... paseo ..... Don't waste your time with an "upgrade" ... Find a used engine that's a direct drop in and keep the car as a fuel miser. Otherwise scrap it, its not worth more than $1000 (if you're lucky)... No offense but its the truth, what is it, a 92?
