Engine Sputter at Cruising Speed

That happened to mine when I first got it, but shortly after I used some gumout Fuel injector cleaner and havent had any problems since. Just be careful when you use it, as its made for a 15+ gallon tank, so measure it out carefully as you dont want to get too much and overheat the engine and cause other problems.

I have a bike identical to yours with 2800 miles and the same thing has happened to me recently. Thought I was out of gas for a moment. Has not happened since.

That's what it feels like. But as soon as you notice it...it goes back to normal.

Again, it's only happened twice. I'm guessing it's an intermittent fuel moisture issue and nothing more.

I think I'll try and remedy with some additive and I've heard good things about Marvel Mystery Oil...

MMO is good......for some things. It is basically just a VERY light oil. As such, it doesn't mix good with "moisture". Doubtful that your observed problem is in any way related to lubrication.....or lack thereof.

PS MMO and wet clutches don't play well together; keep it OUT of your crankcase !!
