Engine changes in 2011?

The cam plate has been bushingless in the cam bores since 07.
Part of me has a problem with no rod bearing, but smarter folks than I build these things.
Everything else is a nice upgrade. I thought my 07 was just fine until I brought my 2011 limited home. Very nice changes.

I wonder what the change is with the clutch hub bearing? Mine was just replaced. I suppose the new one doesn't retro-fit and I got a new "old" one.

I do not get it. In one thread, many people are disappointed with the lack of changes for 2011. In this thread, these are too many changes? Something I noticed the other day is that it tickles me that my bike does not look outdated. HD has done a great job of updating the technology while keeping the appearance timeless.

Kudos HD.

I do wonder about the internal engine changes (upgrades?). Does anyone have more details about the differences between last years parts and this years?

The biggest problem Harley has is the goverment. They can't do much about what they have to do to these engines.I call them EPA bikes.I don't want one.My wife and I do well enough that I could buy any one I want.I have two 05s one with fuel inj.one with a carb.At the present I would not buy a fly by wire, cat in the head pipe, hot running, weak flywheeled,o2 sensored son of a gun ever.

I'm still trying to fix mine! I've done the SE Compensator, I've added timing at start up, and most recently I've decreased the initial fuel pulse, all in hopes of smooth hot starts. I may have it licked with the initial fuel pulse...we shall see!

picked up my 2011 street glide with 103, abs, security, sert, seac, new head pipe without cat, and twin slash vance and hines last night and would not buy anything before the frame change, throttle by wire, 6 speed and abs jmho. hd has made alot of nice changes that i for one think are very desireable. Ride one and I bet you'll ' change your mind. Every time I say this is my last one, I seem to change my mind again and again. never say never is all I'm saying.
