That's true, which is why I said that Kate began to realize that Jack wasn't EVER gonna shout his feelings from the rooftops, which made her believe that he didn't have those feelings at all, not anymore at least, especially after 'Left Behind', when Juliet told her that she broke his heart, and he kind of confirmed it in the hallway scene. Kate was crushed after that, and once they got back to the beach, she was the one FAWNING, MOONING all over him, until Juliet's oatmeal got cold and he had to run. :lmao:

After TTLG, she had to know about his feelings, because he told her, and the surgery scene in SNBH, even though Jack kept his distance once he found her in the jungle, bleeding, wanting her by his side reawakened the hope in Kate's heart, that maybe all is not lost between the two of them. I know Evi said something to that regard.

Then there's the "NO. NOT ANYMORE" of 'Eggtown', the moment where Kate would gladly go back to jail, to avoid the erabarrassment and the heartache. Or at least be eaten up by the floor, because her face after he said that was down-trodded.

That's what their relationship was, ONE SHOCK VALUE AFTER ANOTHER. Jack is thinking that Kate was still shagging Sawyer, because of the unaccounted-for night at the barracks and Sawyer's second-hand erabarrassment of a kiss on the chopper, pulling Kate to him and then bouncing. Then Kate comes with the jumper, at the buzzer, dispelling all of Jack's previous beliefs that she and Sawyer are some inseparable pair, when in actuality, she's always been right by his side, he's just been too much of a humpty-dumpty to notice that it was ALWAYS in a romantic way.

Just the way Kate says it. She's IN DAT MOFO. FOR LIFE IF NEED BE, IF JACK WOULD GET OFF HIS ARSE AND MAKE HER BELIEVE THAT HE WANTS HER TO BE.

ABrose, I love her so much, and miss her too, but if she couldn't see the BLATANT care that Kate has for Jack in that scene, and how Jack ALMOST fell into her erabrace, then I don't know what to say. The moment Jack stops for that split second and Kate leans into him, "It's okay Jack, it's okay," it IMMEDIATELY shifts from being about Charlie, and it becomes about how hard Jack is already taking his death, and how Kate already knows where he's gone to in his head. 'It's okay Jack..' why is she saying that unless she knows that he's gonna BLAME HIMSELF AGAIN? She just knows. Everything falls on Jack's shoulders, and Kate has always been the one to try to make it all okay for him. I CAN'T EVEN. :sigh:
