By the way FMA is awesome. I however, did not finish it. There are about 20,000 people here who did. I paused it around the roy mustang drama

sig fixed..and yeah just finished it yesterday..sry if i spoiled it for ya tried editing it to put spoiler but it would only let me edit comment

No, the original FMA anime will not get any new seasons. It was a pretty mediocre show anyway, due to the storyline heavily diverging from the real one. However, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood finished recently and is based completely upon the storyline from the manga. It's excellent and I'd highly recommend checking it out.

was about to start it last night but wasent sure if it was just the same thing with a few extra parts..if thats not the case ima start watching it asap

i was sad it had ende too- i had like all the scenes involving mustang and ling or whatever- his name always seems to slip my mind alot. But it did drag in some parts- winrey gets on my nerves a bit.

I think I liked it better when FMA was a little more... serious. Now, they have to have a chibi-like scene in almost every episode. I'm happy they brought Ling and the rest of the gang into the series, but, I think they're chopping it up to much. Every now and then I find that there's a missing scene or two.

But every one has they're own opinion, I'm just saying.

please explain, i am not understnading what you mean at all. am i missing the definition of chibi like or something, i dont think they do it that often, not enough to deter from the awesomeness. unless were not on the same page. you mean like when it gets ultra cartoony and mis-proportioned right? i mean they definitely do that, but it wasnt to the point where iwas annoyed. They also did it a bit in the origional run too, so i guess i expected it.

Anyway, i finished out the series a few weeks ago, i more than loved it. i felt that depression you get when something just "epic" ends. its like an emptiness that its over .

but i loved the crap out of it, liked it even more than the origional run, by alot too. Each episode melted so well into the next and the way the stories came together was mind blowing. How the hell do you write what is basically a 24hr long movie and still have early stuff referance later stuff and vice versa. so so epic.

Well, I wasn't annoyed by it. It's just that... I liked it a bit more when they had an equal amount of grim and comedic relief, because, there are a lot of things that are... pretty twisted up in this show. Exaggerations are cool, in the sense of loosening up the tension in the show, but it gets kind of repetitive.

Fullmetal Alchemist is still awesome though, that's one thing every fan can agree with.

There was a little of gags and chibi-form messing around in the original series as well. There was even a boob grab gag, the lowest form of gag there is. I think your memory is just being selective.

If it makes you feel any better, the gags utilized in both series were used to keep things from getting too heavy. It is possible to have a series that is too dark, too mean, too cruel. It gets hard to trudge through after awhile, which is why even the "Berserk" manga had a wise-cracking fairy side kick in it. Imagine how utterly depressing it would be without some comedic relief.

this is the reason why some got bored at FMA:B...oh...and this is based on what i think.....

they have watched the first series that was not following the manga srotyline....then when they try to watch FMA:B....the first few episodes was almost the same as the first series....they keep comparing the two.....'the first was this and the second is that...etc etc...'.....which is i think is common...and before they even got to the point where FMA:B gets interesting...they are already tired of it......

both series are great....but i prefer FMA:B cuz there's more character devepment in it.....and a lot more twist.....

Actually, I think the original series had a couple more twists than this one. The identity of a couple of the homonculi in the first series were quite a bit more surprising than most of them in the newest series.

One of them was their mom!

Even the mastermind antagonist turned out to be someone completely unexpected (though that was probably due more to bad writing).

This was all probably due to the fact that they deviated from the source material and had to come up with their own ending.

The original series is more succinct with its melodrama. The remake has more detail and a better plot overall.

Both series suffer from dragging on near the 2/3's mark and both excel with their excellent opening tracks.

That's all I've got for my critique at this time. Don't go reading into my MAL to hard.
