End of Days HD DVD

I pre-Ordered a title called End of Days on HD DVD format. I am excited about it, but i have no idea what it is like and i dont know what to expect, you see i dont have a hd television or a hd player but my Monitor is High Definition becuase HD is just pixels and my monitor can have up to 1280p by 1024p. Does anyone have like a website that has pictures of the hd dvd end of days or any details?.
 
your computer will not play hd-dvd titles. you need an internal hd-dvd player for your computer, which has yet to be released in the uk.

Yep, you'll need a HD-DVD player, or an Xbox360 and the soon to be released HD-DVD drive for it, which will work out cheaper if you happen to have an Xbox360 already...

But as it is, it doesn't sound like you have anything that'll play it. Your monitor can technically handle HD resolutions (with the right connections), but you have nothing that'll play the disk.
 
Thanks guys for your replies, i am glad though i bought the HD DVD movie not only because its my first hd dvd purchase, but when the HD DRIVES come out i will have a HD DVD ready to watch. Oh well, i just have to wait.
 
Just to avoid confusion - you've said your monitor does 1280p by 1024p.....I'm guessing you think the p means pixels? Well, it doesn't. :p

There isn't anything called 1280p or 1024p - it's 720p and 1080p (or i), and they're different resolutions to standard 4:3 (or in your case 5:4) monitor screens. If you're interested in finding out, I'd just have a look on Google for a bit, if you're not interested, just ignore me!
 
Yes there is. A progressive screen with 1280 lines is 1280p, likewise a screen with 1024 lines. This is regardless of aspect ratio/frequency/etc.
