Encoder motor covered under GM Certified?

I have an 05 Avalanche that is still under the GM Certified Warranty. My serviced 4wd light has been coming on every now and then. When the service light is on, my 4wd does not work. My dad is an auto tech so he hooked up the scanner and the DTC suggests the encoder motor needs to be replaced (CO327 is the code). My question is...does GM Certified cover this?

It is a powertrain issue yes, but that doesnt mean they will. I'm going to check with my GM dealership tomorrow, but I would like to know if they are trying to pull a fast one on me if they say "no".

My dad is not familiar with what GM will cover under their GM Certified warranties, so dont tell me to "ask my dad". Don't tell me to ask my dealership either because I am going to, but i just want to know before I take it in there so i know what's up.

Thanks and I ask that only GM techs or people who know for 100% answer this question.
If it's the 4wd selector switch on the dash, then I definitely know they wont cover it. Sorry about your mishap.
