Depends on how many people are sharing the file. If your a member of a good emule forum you will find most releases are decently fast. I leave my emule running all the time and sometimes when i jump on something new it will start downloading right away. Of course the speeds wont compare to torrents, thats why a combo of the two is best. No point in getting something off emule if I can find it at SCC for example.
