Empty Fish Tank Ideas........?

My friend is giving me his 10 gallon tank because his family is getting a 45 gallon. Lucky him. I don't know what I am going to do with the tank though. Any ideas. No im not using it for reptiles only fish. 1 Year Experience with fish.
I have experienced guppies not really a fan of them anymore.
Right now my 10 gallon tank has 1 Dwarf Gourami
 
Well it really depends on what kind of fish youre looking for... You could put 5-6 guppies in there if you are looking for something easy and long lasting. (they spawn like crazy. BEWARE!) Or you could get 2 dwarf puffers which are lovely little fish that require snails and plenty of attention. They need the highest quality of water so make sure you do your research carefully! Either way both are fantastic and have fun.

cichlids are too small for a 10. the only cichlids you could probably fit are 1-2 rams. other than that you could have platys, maybe some mollies, corys, endlers, danios....
 
you could try making it a freshwater tank with lots of colourful fish.
just make sure not to mix different fish like community(peaceful) fish with aggressive fish as the aggressive ones could kill the community ones. you could try to put semi-aggressive fish with your community fish or with your aggressive.
you could also try a tank that is most concentrated on a certain type of fish.
 
You could get a goldfish. But only one fancy type. Oranda,Ryukin or a Ranchu. They are great. They come to the front of the tank when they see you. You can totally get attached.
