Really good film about a young english boy struggling to survive Japanese occupation during World War II.

I hadnt seen it for years and I spotted it in HMV and bought it

Yep saw it when it first came out. It is a good film; the book is a good read too if you're interested.

And Christian Bale is all grown up now.

I love this film. The cinematography in it is outstanding. It's possibly my favourite Speilberg film.

This was the first film that I saw John Malkovich in. Brilliant actor and Christian Bale is outstanding too, a film that really makes you think and brings out lots of emotions. We read the book by J.G. Ballard in school.

Don't be put off, because it's anime. One of the saddest, but most beautiful films you'll see.
