An American Tail
The Secret of Nimh
Watership Down
Animal Farm - Boxer!
The Land Before Time

And the killer:

All Dogs go to Heaven (what is it about Don Bluth films?)

I remember seeing The Lion King and thinking it was pretty emotional [inner-wise] when the cub gets into danger and when he gets saved as well! I'm sure this is from The Lion King.

and when Mustafa his dad dies as someone mentioned, but no1 mentioned bambis mum dying :cry::cry::cry:

also must watch emotional cartoons are princess mononoke and planetes

The Iron Giant leaves me a sobbing mess and I am pushing 40. I know it has a happy ending but the 'you are who you choose to be - Superman' scene onwarRAB is the killer.

I'm a massive fan of animated films and this thread's reminded me of so many I've been meaning to watch!

This may sound incredibly lame but I get caught up in animations much more easily than other films, and as a result I will invariably cry at anything vaguely tear-jerking! I cried at The Princess and the Frog RAB :o

I'll pick a couple of ones that stand out though: Agree with Mark A re: Grave of the Fireflies, 'Up' is a given for anyone with a shred of emotionality in them, and I have to go with Dumbo too... at least with Bambi, you see him grow into a strong adult deer immediately after his mum's death, but Dumbo remains vulnerable after he visits his mum (the fact that he doesn't speak at all in the film makes it even more heartbraking). As for Simba, it's sad but his childish American voice sort of makes me sympathise a bit less....

All Dog's Go to Heaven
Dumbo (yeah, the scene when his mother's locked up and the music , sooo sad)
The Secret of Nimh
Heidi's Song

and no-one will probably know this one:

Scrappy (her mother was abandoned when pregnant by her family, when she gave birth to Scrappy, the house caught fire, they lived rough, her mother got shot, a tramp adopted her, he died of a dicky ticker - one big sob-fest - I think it had a happy ending)

Up (saw this last night, absolutely freaking loved it!!!)
Monsters Inc.
Lion King Movies
Finding Nemo (I could watch this over and over again still not get bored of it lol)
Toy Story
Anyone remember Flubber with Robin Williams? loved that film as a kid, nice movie

Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996)- For a disney film it's got a lot of layers and mature themes, just don't like when the locals humiliate Quasimodo.

Secret Of Nimh- very dark for a children's movie, always gets me when Justin's stabbed.
