who becomes a...? ...teacher, feminist pacifist
Mdme Carre was born in the early 20th century in the Valle de la Clare'e, near Brianscon, French Alps. She endured a hard life in a peasant family but her intelligence, love of books and reading and perservance made her into a well defined character who is to my mind the first feminist of the 20th century. She wrote a book named "A life of her own" which was translated into English in paperback by Penguin. I read the book two years ago but cannot find another copy any place. I am taking a group of American hiking in the Clare'e and would like them to read a book in real context.
