That's what I try to do.
Pail with a bunch of straps in the back, keys in the ignition, full tank of gas. Someone will come if you make enough phone calls!
I have a road service through H.O.G. and my RV road service covers the bike also and my insurance has road service. Personally Id use my RV road service 1st because it has better coverage. All the road service programs have upgrades that you can buy for better services. AAA has plus which will take a car 100 miles but Im not sure about a bike. Around home I dont worry about breakdowns and dont use my road sevice but when Im traveling Im glad I have it.
Just a bit off the subject but I keep a couple of soft straps in the bike. Might help the tow guy strap it to the truck. They dont take up much room and could be a paint saver if the wrecker would need them
