PLEASE HELP. This is what I'm asking for: all tips, suggestions, tricks, whatever. ANYTHING that can help me out will be greatly appreciated!

Here is my situation:
I have had mild acne for about three years. I have been taking Minocycline the entire time and it has been a tremendous help for controlling oil and pimples. However, there was one short time (about a week) where I switched medications (to Doryx) and I hated it, so I went back to Minocycline. The effects on the pimples has changed drastically, but the oil reduction is still in tact.

So in 5 days I am leaving for a 4 night trip to Florida. I will be without make-up on the beach, and this is an absolute nightmare for me. At this moment, I have a lot of post-acne brown marks on my forehead and about 3 large red scabs from recent zits.

So please, help all you can. Any recommendations for tinted moisturizer, ways to clear up this stuff quickly (I'd be willing to get a chemical peel or something of the sort), just any quick ways to clear up this mess as best as I can. ANYTHING!! Thank you

Benzoyl Peroxide 5% applied at night

Nutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Moisuriser applied in the morning

Remeraber, the marks that look huge to you are barely noticable to others, they are more interested in enjoying their holidat than peering closely at your face!

Enjoy your trip, and dont stress over this!

Whenever I need to clear up my skin in a few days for a quick fix is to do a 3 day detox diet. Since you have only 5 days getting a prescription or getting a proffesional done chemical peel may make things worse before getting better.

In the morning drink a hot lemon tea. This will help clean the digestive system.

Breakfast: Omelet made up of 3 egg whites and one yolk. Cooked oatmeal (not instant) canteloupe and bluberries. Water

Lunch: grilled salmon or low sodium canned tuna packed in water or olive oil. a salad with lettuce, spinach, hard boiled egg, evoo and lemon juice to taste. Water

Dinner: grilled salmon, salad, steamed broccoli, spinach or asparahus, canteloupe and fresh berries, water.

Snacks: turkey breast, chicken breast, almonRAB, green apple, olives, cucurabers, strawberries, rasberries, blackberries.

The more closely you stick to the fooRAB listed the better the results. This is a good detox diet that will clear up pimples fast and leave your skin glowing without starving yourself. Drink lemon water as often as you can and do not drink any sugary juices, sodas, candy or it will mess up the results.

Topically you should try appliying fresh lemon juice on the skin to help wih the discoloration. Make sure to dilute it if you have sensitive skin. Also try the Asprin mask which will help with inflammation and exfoliate the skin.

Hope this helps.

That is great advice! Hey, what is the asprin mask? I haven't heard of that before. I've been having problems myself lately and I think it is hormone related, so I need to work that out but as far as clearing up my skin, I'm about willing to try anything at this point!!

Do a search for it on the board, you will find tons of info! It works good for me.
