I am starting a website and want people to subscribe to my newsletter. I have a list of 45,000 emails given to me by a friend but I know that I cannot send out an unsolicited bulk message (SPAM) to these individuals without consent. Is there anyway I legitimize this list and convert interested individuals into subscribers? For example a double opt-in?
