Email Settings N73

I have the Tmobile $5.99 tzones web plan and I'm trying to set up a few email accounts using the built in email program on the N73. It works flawlessly with my university email but when I try to set up my yahoo accounts it can't connect. Is this because of the use of certain ports and restrictions with the $5.99 plan or possibly something? Also, another quick question: when I use opera mini to surf the web, sometimes I get the "error" message. Does that just mean that I can't open that page through tzones or??? Greatly appreciate the help! Thanks

your data plan shouldnt affect what pages opera opens up. Perhaps your session settings are not defined correctly. Match it up with other Tmo users on hofo and see if it's correct.

Don't you have a "Yahoo Go" icon under your "applications" folder ?
I had one in my N73 and set it up with my online Yahoo e mail account and it works flawlessly, I can now check regular online e mail on the mobile. When I click on "messages" I get the usual inbox, outbox, etc... options plus one for Yahoo which has my regular e mail messages.
Let us know what happens.

Cheers, LL-

T-Mobile restricts access to may sites if you only have the t-zones. For guaranteed access to websites you need the full internet access. Some have had access using T-Mobile's proxy but it's hit and miss. Check out the T-mobile Wiki on hofo for more info about it or one of the million threads about it.

wow...they can even block out opera huh.....miserable SOBS....leave people alone already. I have cingular unlimited data but prices for bandwith are becoming ridiculous.

It's not Opera they are blocking they are blocking TCP traffic on ports. It is often possible to get around that by routing everything through thr proxy but not always.

So I was doing some searching and found out that in order to check yahoo email through a client email program, you need to upgrade your yahoo account and pay a yearly fee. And I don't have a "yahoo go" icon in my applications. And with regards to opera mini and the t-zones web, I can connect to about 80-85% of the pages I go to so that is fine, especially with the low monthly fees. I've read A LOT of the threads regarding the t-zones plan and like KrazyKritter said, it's a hit or miss with which websites can be opened. I can also check my yahoo, hotmail, and gmail accounts through opera mini though it's a little more hassle but not too bad. Thanks for the help though.
