EMail problems with treo 755 on cricket

Hello, sorry if someone has already posted something like this, but I can't find it for the life of me, so Im going to punch it out here, and see if I can't get some resolve

Ok I bought a treo 755... im happy with it... got The phone flashed and call, text, and internet are working fine.

I can not get any mail on my versamail or chattermail *downloaded it* i've tried using all sorts of pop settings. I even had yahoo support confirm the pop and smtp settings but versamail still won't connect. Says to confirm the server name. Is there something else that has to be done with the cricket flash to be able to set up the pop mail? Does it just not work? I've read plenty of forums and they all seem to dance around the issue.

Settings im using for Palm treo 755p flashed to cricket are:

plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com

SSL port 995

Plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com

SSL and authentication port 465

I have yahoo plus and I can setup the pop settings for microsoft outlook. I can get it on outlook... just not on the treo. :doh: Help please!

:^/ Cricket's WAP proxy service only supports ports 80 and 8080, so VersaMail is out. Web-based mail works fine.

:^( That, and this thread belongs in the PDA Sub Forum. Perhaps someone will be nice enough to move it for us, but he really shouldn't have had to....
 
So versamail is toast... ok fine. is there ANY other application that can be downloaded for the treo 755 that would allow push type email (anything pop style) I would love to get emails on the fly without having to sign in and check. Any help you could give me would be amazing... Im guessing since the port issue you spoke of (80 and 8080) that im screwed but Hey, ya never know. Thanks so much for responding! And again , I apologize for putting this in the wrong area...
