So I'm 16 and am going to college next year to study a-levels. I applied for an EMA and was allowed to receive £30 a week. But apparently I don't get anything now because my dad is a self-employed driving instructor and doesn't get his tax account thing until November or this year. And to be able to get my EMA he has to have it by 31st August. This means I will never be able to receive the money.
I honestly don't think I will be able to cope without the £30 a week. I get no money of my parents as they can't afford it. I have a part time job but I only get paid £4 a hour and I only work saturdays (if I work more I'm scared my education will suffer as a result) how can I get the EMA? PLEASE help. I don't know what to do. How am I going to afford text books and college supplies? I was also hoping to go to university but that will be impossible if I don't have the EMA that I can save up. All answers will be extremely appreciated. Thanks for all the help and time.
